  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Maple glaze 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 1-2 tbsp milk

Remove the donuts from the oil and drain on paper towels

Prepare the maple glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth
