Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup powdered sugar for glaze
- 2 tbsp milk for glaze
- Sprinkles or toppings of choice
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract
Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out donut shapes
Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pan to 350F 175C
Fry the donuts for about 2 minutes per side or until golden brown
Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil
In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk to make the glaze
Dip each donut into the glaze, allowing excess to drip off, and place on a wire rack
Add sprinkles or toppings while the glaze is still wet
Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving
