Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts optional
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 350 F 175C and put paper liners in a cupcake pan
Melt the butter and mix it with the peanut butter and sugar in a bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy
Mix in the egg until everything is well mixed
Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing them in with the milk every so often
Start with the dry ingredients and end with the milk
Don't mix any further than that
Fill each cupcake liner about two thirds of the way to the top with batter
In a hot oven, bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean
After the cupcakes have cooled in the pan for a few minutes, move them to a wire rack to cool all the way down
Mix the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and caramel sauce in a small bowl with a whisk until the mixture is smooth
Once the cupcakes are cool, drizzle the caramel frosting over them and, if you want, top them with chopped peanuts
Have fun with your peanut butter caramel cupcakes!
